Timber Cruising

A more in depth accounting of timber may include a timber cruise. In some cases, landowners will want to determine the tree sizes, volume and quality of the standing timber in preparation for purchasing or selling a timbered tract of land. A timber cruise would also be conducted if the landowner is wanting to establish a tax basis for their timberland.
